The Old Berkhamstedians

OB Rifle Club

The Principle objective of the Rifle Club is to participate in the Public Schools Veteran Match held at Bisley each year. Berkhamsted has taken part in this match for the last 75 years.

The Club welcomes current and former pupils, honorary OBs, Friends and family of OBs to enjoy target shooting at Bisley (adjacent to Pirbright Barraks) which is the World home home of Long Range target shooting and her Majesty the Queen's Prize.

Membership of this Club may be the first step towards County selection and from there towards National Team selection; there are several teams for different age groups. In particular, there is a Cadet INternational Team selected each year for pupils under 18 (as of 1st September). This is both individual and a team sport and can be enjoyed from 13-80.

There is target shooting activity at Bisley almost every weekend and a number of resident clubs provide on-site facilities. The Rifle Club is affiliated to the National Rifle Association (www.nra.org.uk) and the London & Middlesex Rifle Association.
